good point, but this is not possible

I already tried to implement this in the past and there's simply no way to detect if a keyboard has a numpad or not, so if we enable numpad in a keyboard that has not a numpad, it gives more problems than features (making your keyboard unable to type the correct keys), you had a point saying "desktop computers", but in the same way, there's many keyboards around without a numpad

I must say that I agree... I always disable the numlock key if it's on by default...
