I have the latest version of the retrowave version 3.8.50 but when I try to add apps like edge, proproton jdownloader 2 even if I do create a launcher it says no possible while other like firefox , google , steam when I do create a launcher they work , please where the issue and how can this be fixed ?
Cairo dock requires a .desktop file/launcher. If the app doesn't have that available then create it yourself.

Thanks but the problem is that when edge, proproton, jdownloader 2 even the terminal says not possible to set up launcher on the taskbar when I restart they all disappear ,Is a way that like in windows that can pin on taskbar what you want instead one yes or another no.
Well as a first:
Do not expect Elive or any Linux (or Apple) DE to behave like Windows ...... It never has or will be an aim, one way or another. 
Second:
Take a moment to read the howto/tutorial ..... this howto wasn't specifically cairo-dock but tries to remedy tje fact that a lot of 3rd party applications do NOT cater correctly for a .desktop file.
The problem is the application itself NOT cairo-dock or any other dock.
It's not linux or Elive that's biting you but the (lazy) apps themselves .... creating a personal .desktop file solves that issue but it shouldn't have to be that way. Complain to the makers of those apps if they even care.
I have personally had "jdownloader2" (and a few others) on my dock, at the time ... a long time ago, I didn't even know it still existed.
