not really, is better to not spend much time on the stable release in order to improve the new alpha/beta versions, unless we know specifically what happens to these cases, i don't know why the screen becomes black but it works when auto-login (good to know that @pzeta solved it!), but is probably related to specific drivers (since happens only to him) on which we cannot do much about that
