Yeah, same with my children at the time.
Right up to the moment that at school they had to use MsWord and the teacher was totally stymied by Libreoffice.
The Ux "problem" is always a matter of crossed expectation and habit that gets a new user frustrated. M$ and Apple (and Android) have a lot to answer for, there.
