How does Elive hide my public IP?

While installing Elive recently, one of the suggestion was if I wanted Elive to hide my public IP to avoid possible attacks. Im still thinking if i should have clicked "yes", and now Im wondering how does elive do this.

No Elive don't hide your IP, instead it can install a tool called fail2ban to avoid possible attacks like ssh to your IP, the exact sentence says:

Block IP's to prevent continuously attempted attacks

if you still want to install it later you can simply run this command:

api fail2ban
