Installing elive virtualbox running out of hard drive space

Using Virtualbox to create a virtual machine so I can try and install elive.

I have set up a virtual machine and assigned 8GB for installation, but for some reason when running the live installer it is only allocating 1.35GB so cannot complete the installation

Has anyone experienced this?

8Gb isn't enough.
It is for i.e a live USB but not for a full install.

Try setting the disk to at least 12-20 Gb

BTW,
the best is to not set the virtual disk to a fixed size but let it "dynamically allocate space". That way it wont use up more hardware disk space then needed.
