Anyone had any success getting a scanner to work with iscan Gimp plugin? It won’t find any scanners, mine is an Epson. There is no /proc/usb location so I’m thinking the kernel has no USB support? This is because the GUI app “USBVIEW” says there is no kernel support for USB
However usb-devices sees an Epson scanner.

If “simplescan” doesn’t find your scanner, you might have a problem and should check if your scanner is supported by “sane”. I’ve got a brother all-in-one that requires specific downloads from the Brotrher website and maybe yours does the same…always check the manufactor first.
