Just tested and yes. Clicking cancel at the variant does fix the stupid problem i Had and endup with the right keyboard config

OK, so I might need to add a text there like 'hit Cancel to not choose a variant but accept the standard'

or something like that.

@yoda the keyboard configurator is not giving you the option for french-canada keyboard? :thinking:

For me it worked without issues, keyboard set correctly (I think) to french-canada

@yoda can you tell me the exact steps that triggered your bug or UX problem so i can improve it?

It does give French Canadian option but he gets flustered by the 'variants'.
I've tested (on both configurators) and hitting 'Cancel' solves that...where a new user might be worried that would end the process altogether.

Simply explaining that like in the following text solves that.

Or click Cancel to use the standard layout
