I have a lot of software synthesizers and need aconnect. Had to download the gui myself, no problem with that but why torment new users with the commando shit? Ought to be default!
With all due respect; coming from FreeBSD and macOS, command line is in many cases a perfect replacement for a GUI. Many users are so used having a GUI that command line options are overlooked to achieve a working result. Personally I love every bit of it, but I can imagine that in your daily activities, it can be a nuisance.
I use the command line every day but when a GUI make things better I dont hesitate to use it. Aconnectgui is faster to use than the commandline, especially when you have a bunch of synthesizers to manage. Thereto its easy to understand and easy to see everything what is happening regarding midi.
