I’ve been diving back into GTA San Andreas lately, but on my Elive system it’s been… interesting. Using Wine gets it playable, but certain textures glitch, missions stutter, and some of the classic mods I love don’t behave as expected.
I’m really curious how the community is handling GTA on Linux these days. Has anyone figured out a setup that keeps the classic GTA SA feel while smoothing out performance issues? Also, are there mods or shaders that actually improve the visuals without killing framerate?
I’d love to hear about your personal configs, quirky workarounds, or any “Linux-only” tricks that make the game feel closer to the original or even a bit enhanced. Basically, I’m looking for a balance between nostalgia, modding, and Linux stability.
