Very new to Elive is it possible to use Steam for playing games? I have a amd RX5550XT graphic card will it be automaticaly picked up Elive ?

That should be picked up by Elive with the betas. Steam most likely won't work with Elive Stable considering how old it is. 
You'll be able to play most games that work with Debian Linux.
