I'm currently installing Elive on VM, I will be contributing on pay day, but may I suggest maybe a fundraiser, where by one of the popups requesting donations, during installation process gets, removed per funding goal. ie after £1,000,000 and 99p the last popup gets removed 
Really enjoying my initial Elive experience.
