Im confused, the wifi works or not works?
these messages looks correct, and for the "link not ready" should be not relevant since references to ipv6
so... if you run "nm-applet --popup" you can use correctly the wifi ?

yeah but what is the full result? it should show the attributes of the parent directories related, one of the parents should be wrongly set
No. The wifi does not connect. It tries but does not succeed. I agree with you. All looks good and should but does not. Is there anyone else that uses WIFI USB to connect using this beta test that is working or not working or am I the only one using USB WIFI? Just curious. My WIFI USB's are good known ones that have a common chip for hardware compatibility. If needed I could try loading the beta on another computer desktop and use USB WIFI on that to see what happens.
Here is the result from your command:
~ ❯❯❯ ls la .config/elive/elive-tools/ ; ls -la .config/elive | grep elive-tools ; ls -la .config | grep elive ; ls -la | grep ".config"
ls: cannot access 'la': No such file or directory

I don't know if this will help you any but I have installed MX 18.2 linux that has Debian 9.X running and has no issues at all working with my USB WIFI's. Is there any way you could get the source code repository they are using and use it in this 64 bit OS? Not a hiccup using that OS and it is a 64bit. I know you can't really compare both OS's but just asking if you might look to that one for what that repository has for the WIFI drivers that have there.
In case it could help., I happen to have an old Cisco USB WiFi stick that always worked well, and in case it could help, I tried using it with 3.7.1 E16, same results ... It doesn't succeed establishing the connection
Now I am returning to my cable
Thanks Yoda :o) I appreciate another one coming in for the confirmation!
I have cable too but all my testing is done on a separate computer with may partitions for testing and uses wifi since far away from my router.
My production system is strictly used with cable
Me Cable through one of those electric wall adapter

e16, how can I lock my station ? O can logout, or shutdown/Restart (if I choose logout 1st) but I don't find the Lock my station
Before, whe nI was locking out with Manjaro, what was cool is that my 2 screen were turning black / don't need to turn them off
Not urgent, just wondering if it's easy to implement and surprise it's not already builtin Debian 9x ?
oh my..... it is "dam fast" , ya
!
Hey, you guys need to discover "meshing"...
ok so the driver seems to be included correctly, but for some reason looks bugged (maybe will be fixed in a newer version of the kernel), or maybe you have a missing package but I don't think that is the case.
And other wifi's that you have works correctly, right? I have noted to make betatests here with my USB's of wifi too
I think that you will have the same behaviour in another computer, the problems seems to be related to -this- wifi usb drivers*
got it, this is the directory that gives problems (owned by root), and there's some tool that sets it, i wonder which one i need to research what makes this dir with wrong owner... btw this bug should be fixed now automatically, I have pushed a fix in elive-upgrader which fixes the owners (so you should have the settings like song automatically fixed now)
well, the drivers and firmware seems to be correctly included in elive, but probably due to a bug it doesn't connects to your wifis as said before
so you have the same issue with your usb wifi too? no connects? mmh, maybe there's a missing package to include then
unfortunately e16 doesn't includes a lock feature
for turn black you can run
xset dpms force off
perfect
Another shortcut
LOL half worked LOL
As soon as the software, not me, create activity, the screens comes back.
Forget it, not a big thing to close 2 screens
software? really? mmh, should be only when -you- create activity (mouse moving), you need press fastly the command in order to leave your keyboard not touched, otherwise inmediately you press the Enter it runs ON again lol (or add a sleep, like: sleep 10 && xset...)
You are right again LOL
pressing CTRL + ALT + L slowly, make it go black and back up after
but doing it fast does work LOL
Hi!
Testing right now on the eeepc 1001XP: starts well, with the option "under 3Go ram"...
By default, I made tests with E22, but can go back to E16 on demand...
Wifi Ok, Chrome ok (with a delay on start), vlc ok...
Some lags on displaying menus and sometimes "phantomatic" menus seem the frame but transluent & no texts...
At a moment, Engage disapear but still functionning... (ok when restarting session)
Blender (yes, I know it's not the best machine for it) seems to not start; When trying via Terminal: error cause requires OpenGL 2.1, asks for updating the drivers...
Wacom tablett seems to work ok!
Fn key runs ok for sreen light but not for sound; Fn wifi ok!
Salutations!
Nope screen do not stay black 98 of the time.
Forget about it, I'll deal with it
