I discovered an error while updating my PC (Asus Prime B550-Plus motherboard, i7, Nvidia 4060). Everything seemed to be working fine, but when I launched games using Wine, I got a black screen on some of them. I started uninstalling and reinstalling the various Nvidia drivers one by one (following this guide: Nvidia Privative Drivers installation ), but nothing changed—the issue persisted. I ran a Heaven benchmark, followed by a vkcube test, confirming a Vulkan-related problem with my Nvidia card. After some thought, I completely reinstalled Mesa; upon rebooting, vkcube worked. And my games work well.
